28 Birthday Entries

I have a birthday wish. And that is to have 28 special entries to be posted here in my blog on the day of my birthday. Entries that will come from different people who has been part of my life in different ways. People who have touched me in every aspect of my life.

I will ask 28 people to create whatever entry they would want for me.
Anything under the sun. Those that I think would be interested to do such thing. Hehe. But I will leave 3 spots for anyone that I don't know, and has been reading/following my site, and is willing to make one for me as a birthday gift (that would be super nice).

I will post the list here soon. I am not yet finished with it. But that will be available soon...

A Piece of Thought at 2:30am

Romeo's heart stopped beating at the sight of juliet's death...
Shakespeare's pen stopped writing when he died...
The sun will always set to give way to a pitch black night...
But why I can't see the moon...
Why I can't find my star...

I musn't be left alone. Not in the dark.
Not when there's no one to trust.
I wont trust my self. I don't trust my self.

Has nature skipped a season?
Where has summer gone?
The weather has been gloomy and frisky...
So help me!

Breakfast with the other Crazy Ones

After shift, I had to go to my tita's house sa BF Homes. Since Raech lives nearby, I invited her for a ride. Pagdating dun, wala pa si tita (hassle) kaya I invited Raech muna for a breakfast. We went to Pancake House. It was 6:40am when we got there, eh 7:00am pa sila nagbubukas kaya naghintay na lang kami. Kuwentuhan muna. Then, naalala namin si Drey na imee-meet niya yung friend niya from the other company. We asked her to follow kung tapos na sila.

Drey followed kaya nabuo kaming tatlong baliw for a morning breakfast. Hay! Sobrang funnee!!!

After our breakfast, we went to Conti's for our dessert. Their pastries are the best that's why I had my New York Cheesecake while Raech had her Tiramisu, and Drey had Chocolate Walnut Cake. Sinfully delightful. Sarap to the max. And there, we continued the saga, the non-stop tawanan. Para lang kaming mga baliw talaga. No dull moment pag kasama mo talaga itong dalawa. Sayang di nakasama si Ash. I'm sure, to the next level ang tawanan nun.

Random Scenes at Work

QUIZ BEE

My team's Quiz Champion, Carol Sarita, prepared a quiz game for the team during our meeting last two weeks ago. It was just a refresher for some bank processes and products for the team. After the game, she also treated the team with an ice cream after getting the biggest incentive for the last quarter of 2008. Ice cream? That's yumyumness!!!

PERFORMANCE COUNCIL'S AWARDING CEREMONY

Performance Council awarded those who performed well last quarter, and gave some special recognition for those who have jumped high with their performance from last year, to this year. Yron was awarded also as the Top Performer for the month of March. They all prepared the certificates and the awards, and we invited one stateside coach to give a sales talk in preparation of the team's transition to sales in the future.

1st GALLUP RACE

Our team won the 1st race for the Gallup Challenge that my boss has set for all of the teams she directly supports. Galing talaga nang team ko. And we got some treats served by all the leaders ni Boss Chi. We had the "infamous" BBQ Chicken Yellow Cab Pizza as our treat, plus the Krispy Kreme donuts given on the same day by one stateside coach na natuwa masyado sa team ko. Hehe. More food!!!

GRAND PREPARATION FOR THE UNVEILING

Continuing the tradition of the Chinese Dragon we made for our 1st Quarter theme, having everyone work on it para may basbas nang spirit of "teamwork", and given us so many blessings sa team, we finished last sunday yung theme naman namin for the 2nd Quarter. Of course, everyone helped and worked hard to finish it before the unveiling day.

UNVEILING OF MAKING WAVES THIS SUMMER

Last Monday, we had our unveiling of the team's 2nd Quarter theme, which was "Making Waves this Summer". We aim to go to the next level of performance and culture after the very successful 1st Quarter we had. We invited boss Chi for the unveiling, and also Rob, who's a former Protege and now a TSL. It was a moment for the team as we officially open our 2nd Quarter, and with a bang (again).

BRIDGING THE GAP TRAINING

Last Monday and Tuesday, the team had a refresher training course and sales uptraining. It's been 9 months na rin na nasa floor yung team kaya the training was a break for them, which I think they all deserve. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the second day due to an unexpected circumstance. But the 1st day that I was able to attend to was a fun training day. Basti was their trainer.

1st M.A.D. AWARDS

Last Monday was the 1st M.A.D. Awards of Chi's cluster, giving recognition for the top performers of each team that she directly supports. It was Roxee for my team who has aced all the major metrics for the 1st Quarter (Galing!). I spear-headed this project. I just love recognition activities. I have so much passion for it. Certificates and free food was given to the top performers, and all the MAD leaders were there.

TEACHBACK MEETING

Yesterday was our team meeting day. I conducted another teachback session and I discussed a very timing topic which was "Dealing with Changes". Twas an hour and a half session which I think they all enjoyed, especially the part where everyone did some reminiscing of their old them and the new one. I just love teaching. And I just pepared that 2 hours before the meeting. Fun day!!!

Adventure Guy?

Just came from work and from other stuff I did today (some were I have to, forced to do in short) and was just checking some emails (and of course, my blog), and have no plans of making an entry as I don't have much energy left. But there is this guy's profile na naaliw ako nang sobra and got my attention quickly at hindi ko napigilang i-post.

Humihingi na ako nang tawad sa kanya ngayon pa lang. Sorry po!!! But seriously, natawa kasi talaga ako. Sobrang funnee, or maybe mababaw lang ako today at antok at pagod na ako. Hehe. It's the description inside his profile I found it very funnee, simple and short but complicated. Hehe. Eto yung nakalagay:

Ask me then I will answer u!
I'm adventure guy!!! May we are common ( ;

HINDI KO TALAGA NA-GETS!!!! Wahaha. Adventure guy? Guy ba siyang mukhang Mitsubishi Adventure? Well I guess what he wants to say is he is an adventurous guy. Haha. Whatever! And the last one, "May we are common", mas lalo kong hindi na-gets! Wahaha. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang gusto niyang palabasin. Waaaah!!!

Damn it! I'm so bad. I need to sleep. Bad TL! Bad TL! I guess this is an overdose effect of being with Raech for a couple of hours. Crazy! Hehe. Good night everyone! The vampire is now gonna sleep...

One Simple Wish, One Big Impact

Yeah, it's a simple wish. Have time to leave any comment from any entry you liked. That will really make a big impact on me. It will really make me happy. I love to hear your thoughts, your opinions, your views, your reaction. You don't need to have an account for you to drop a comment. It's a small courtesy for visiting and reading out my thoughts. I wanna hear different perspectives. That would be cool.

It's a free blog site. So share a free comment. Or if not, mark your presence over the Chatbox. At least, by these, I will know I am making sense. With the current traffic in my site, I'm still unsure if people are enjoying my blog. Although a few people have been expressing (through email), but it still does not equate to the current traffic. I dunno. I guess I need some confirmation.

I'd love to hear from you. So don't just visit, make your presence known!!

Especially my friends who are so updated
but never dropped any comment. Hmpf! Hehe.

On Bride Wars and Friendship

"Sometimes in life,
there are really bonds formed that can never be broken.
Sometimes you really can find that one person
who will stand by you no matter what.
Maybe you'll find it in a spouse
and celebrate it with your dream wedding...

But there is also the chance
that the one person you can count on for a lifetime,
one person who knows you,
sometimes better than you know yourself,
is the same person who's been standing beside you all along..."

- an excerpt from the movie Bride Wars

I enjoyed the DVD movie Bride Wars when I watched it last week. It was an entertaining film and gives you some perspectives about wedding and friendship. It did give me one. Not about weddings, but about friendship. A sad one. It gave me a realization that during the 1st quarter of this year, I just lost two very good friends, whom I shared my life with, whom I considered as best friends, shared my life stories, shared my secrets and who were there during tough times.

The realization made me really hurt. I was really in pain. I cried. I've been struggling with it for how many months already but I kept it to myself. I never talked about it with anyone. The pain is just too much to be discussed. I know I will just gonna cry on it. It is a sad reality. It's like a funeral. It's like someone died. Someone was taken, or someone was lost forever. That those people whom you have trusted so much, loved so much, cared so much are no longer there.

Things got in the way. Two different reasons from two different very good friends. One is work related issue and one is financial issue. It's not for me to put in the details of what has happened. It's with my utmost respect for them that I shall leave the issues behind, let go, move on and accept the sad reality.

I guess I asked it once or twice why the two of them, and why at the same quarter. I was hoping at least one at a time, so there would still be one left for me. Or not even. But reality sometimes bites you so well you can't do anything but cry. Friends, like partners, either stays or leaves. But most of the time, people leave and definitely for a reason. You may not get it in the beginning, react on it, get emotional, but I'm sure in the end, you'll know why.

I am hoping that someday I can be like Kate Hudson, who has Anne Hathaway in her life in the movie. That even things get in the way, their friendship will keep them together. That they will not doubt each other, and that they will still choose to trust each other, even if things get ugly. But that's life.

Just a piece of thought on Bride Wars and Friendship...

Happy Birthday Bess and Yron!!!

It was a celebration last night of two of my agents who are celebrating their birthday this week, and it was also our Masquerade theme day. Last monday was Yron's birthday, may inaanak sa kasal also, and today naman is Bess' birthday. They decided to celebrate it with the team together para di magastos sa handa (which by the way eh uso sa team ko yun). Malas lang nang mag-isa na magbi-birthday sa isang buwan. Hehe. We had pizza and cake kanina. Yumyum!

And also, R&R Council's theme this week is "Festive Masquerade" kaya everyone was asked to design their own mask na isusuot namin sa handaan. Ash made mine and I liked it. Kaya bago kami nagkainan, we had pictures first of our coot and diversed masks. We also wore colorful bright shirts in relation to our theme. Kaya makulay na makulay ang paligid kanina. Kaso sa sobrang lamig sa floor kanina, nagsipag-suotan nang mga jacket. Dumilim tuloy. Hehe.

To Bess and Yron, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! From your loving TL (loving talaga?!). Hehe.

Cam get me!!!

Isn't he just so gorgeous? Does he look familiar to you?

The guy on the picture above is Cam Gigandet. Seductive eyes, kissable lips, nice body, what else can you ask for. The perfect Ken for Barbie Doll. In some case, the right guy for TL. Hehe. Just kidding. Anyways, I just watched Twilight again and Cam, also known as "James" in the movie (hmm, nice name, hehe), the villain vampire, is really the guy that I like from that movie. Where everyone is going ga-ga with Robert Pattinson a.k.a. Edward Cullen, I go with James.

His presence in the movie was fantastic. I dunno. It's the animalistic (or vampiristic, if there is such a word) appeal that he has that oozes so much in me. Damn! I wanna be bitten by him (may willingness?). Haha. Anyways, I remember Cam portraying surfer Kevin Volchok in the series O.C. and he was so coot there. And he's 26 years old btw, turning 27 this august, which makes him one year younger than me. Perfect. Hehe....

But anyways, he's straight! Sayang! Hehe.

On a Night like this

On a night like this, when the moon fights to make its presence known amidst an ocean of dark skies... On a night like this, when the silence of the world sends a calming song to my battered heart... On a night like this, when good music serenades my solitude... I feel one with the world... And the moon confirms this when its light glows to my face...

On a night like this, I count my blessings and shun my misfortunes... And I feel good... I feel energized... I feel blessed... After having a great chat with my daughter... I know... Everything is going to be great!!!
