If Only

Last night was a family movie watching inside my room. Actually, before that, naka-tatlong DVD movies na ako (Cloverfield, Taken & The Grudge 3) before my parents got home and we started watching The Reaping. I was so stucked in my room last night and that was the only thing I did after posting one entry in my blog. And that's what I call lazy boy in a lazy bed doing movie marathon. Hehe.

After they all vanished from my room since it was late at night already (hehe), I decided to continue my marathon. I actually refused "his" offer to meet up for another coffee as I was really stucked in my bed and don't have any energy to go out (sorry na ha). So anyways, I watched "If Only" by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Paul Nichols, an english actor who is coot in a way. The movie was shot in London and Jennifer was one of the producers of the film.


This is not the first time I watched this film. I've seen this together with my ex way back 2005 or 2006 (I can't recall the exact year) when we were still living in together. This film had made an impact in our relationship and had strengthen our commitment to love one another. I guess it was the height of the movie impact but our relationship ended last 2007.

I dunno why I chose to watch it again last night. It just made me remember him. And yes, the only guy I can remember from this film. Gush! It was a flash back. Like what just happened in the film. Questions ran in to my mind. That why there's always someone who is so in love in a relationship, and the other is just in love. Why can't it be equal? Why does it have to be that way? Grrr. The mysteries of love...

My favorite part of the movie was when Ian (Paul Nichols) was expressing his love to Sam (Jennifer Love Hewitt) under the rain, and his last moment with her as he knows that death is about to come. This really has touched me so much and reminds any viewer that each moment should really be enjoyed so you wouldn't regret it if death even comes in. Here's the touching lines of Ian:

"I love you since I met you.
But I wouldn't allow myself to truly feel it until today.
I was always thinking ahead...

Today, because of you, what I learn from you...

Every choice I made was different
and my life has completely changed.
And I've learned, that if you do that and if you lived your life fully,
it doesn't matter if you have 5 minutes or 50 years...

and to be loved...

And for the best part, was the song that Sam sang during her Graduation Day at the Music School where she plays violin. I love the song, I love the melody, and the lyrics is killing me. I so love it. Here's the song "Love will show you everything", dedicated to her hubby, Ian.
