Isis on Making a Difference

The Season 11 of America's Next Top Model that I am currently watching has a twist. One of the finalists of the show is a Transgender. Yes! You heard it right. Isis Tsunami was born a male who is now a transgender female. I was blown away by it. She was just a background model from last season ten who did great poses and gave good shots, and there were she got discovered and invited to audition for Season 11. And there she goes, making a historic moment for ANTM.

For the first time, "America's Next Top Model" includes a pre-op transgender model among the show's 14 contestants vying for the top prize. The model, 22-year-old Isis from Maryland, says although she was physically born a male, she was "born in the wrong body" and always felt completely female. Bebe Gandanghari, ikaw ba yan? Hehe.

In the competition, she said she is prepared to do whatever it takes to win, even if the various modeling challenges force her to face her greatest fears. Kaya lang, natanggal din siya because of her constant sleepy eyes in her photos. In my own opinion, she can really be a model, she's pretty, she has good knowledge about modeling, but maybe, she's just not fit for the ANTM title. That's just my opinion.

The great thing about Isis in the show was that she actually goes into every challenge with no luggage, per se. The struggles of her formerly being a man aren’t hindering her challenges – just everything else that makes modeling difficult. She’s just one of the girls. And it became a nice flavor for the latest season of ANTM. Curious? Go and see Season 11 of America's Next Top Model...
