Boyce Avenue Live in Manila

Holy f*ckin' shit!!! That's all I can say. Boyce Avenue is soooo cool!!! I love them so much. I went to Mall of Asia last night with Bess, Jze and Francis to watch their free concert. Man! Super sulit. Lupet. This florida-based band is uber galing. The voice, the synchrony, the music, the rhythm. All in one package. A true-blue music-based band.


Bess and I met at the Caltex station around 6:15pm. Una, usapan, 5:00pm. I finished my work-out early so I can meet those people who said they will join (Hazel, Drey, Ash and Angel). Unfortunately, kami lang ni Bess and natuloy. Hmpf! Anyways, harurot sa daan agad. Kinuha ko sa 30 minutes na biyahe from Alabang to MOA at ayaw naming mapalagpas ang moment. Ay! Bawal talaga ang may sumingit sa akin kagabi. Hehe. Ang bilis namin noh!!!

Pagdating doon, pa-start na. Dami ring tao. Gutom na ako, wala pang kain. Nilalagnat pa ako. Pero hindi ko kayang palagpasin ang pagkakataong makita ang paborito kong banda. Kaya kahit masama na ang pakiramdam, go pa rin. Other plans after the concert have been cancelled due to my physical condition. Di na talaga kaya. Yron invited us at the UP Feb-Fair pa kaso bagsak na talaga katawan ko. Although gusto ko pa naman pumunta dun. Sayang!!!


Standing ovation kami ni Bess. Hehe. Pagdating namin sa concert venue, Kyla is already starting the show. Opening act. She sang 3 songs to entertain the Boyce Avenue spectators. After her stint, I decided to buy some food and water kasi baka any time, bumagsak ako bigla. Pagdating sa tindahan, lintek, biglang ina-announce ang Boyce Avenue. Dinedma ang food, tumakbo pabalik kay Bess. Ayaw mapalagpas ang mga idolo. Hehe.

Their opening song was their version of "Apologize". Ramdam mo ang kilig to the bones kasi naman, boses pa lang, panalo na. Bad trip kasi yung phone ko, hindi ko na-charge. I was planning to take a video of the full concert (hehe) kaso nakalimutan ko mag-charge. Bad trip! Kaya kung ano lang ang kinaya, yung lang ang remembrance ko. Grrr!!!

Mix ang crowd. May mga alam talaga ang Boyce Avenue. May mga hindi, yung tipong nasa mall lang at nalamang free yung concert kaya nakigulo. May mga conyo. May mga masa (at mas madami sila, as usual) hehe. But it was fun. Namiss ko ang mga concert events. Here is a clip of the song "With You" that they made a version too:

They sang a lot of songs. Akala namin ni Bess, mga 5 songs lang kasi free. But wait, no!!! Andami nilang kinanta. Sobrang sulit. Although they sang their original compositions, and they were appreciated, but everytime they sing their version of different hit songs, mas doon nagwawala ang crowd. Like the medley "Tattoo-No One-Where is the love". Twas a hit to the crowd (and to us) hehe.

The two brothers of the lead vocalist ang pinaka mabenta kagabi. Kasi naman ang coot coot nila. Sarap pisil-pisilin. Hehe. Tuwing tinututok ang camera sa kanila, ang mga girls at nagfe-feeling girls eh nagtititili to the max. Their last song was the hit of the night, "Bleeding Love" which they dedicated to all lovers that night.

It was a very nice valentine treat for myself. Hehe. Sobrang enjoy. Kaso bad trip nga lang at nilalagnat ako. Gutom na gutom pa. Kaya kumain na kami ni Bess after. Pero pumunta muna kami nang Krispy Kreme to buy doughnuts. I bought some for the team for our post valentine's celebration on sunday. Dun na rin kami nagkahiwalay-hiwalay nila Jze at Francis.


We went to Tapa King for our dinner. Kahit saan kami pumunta, andaming tao. Kaya doon na lang kami kung saan konti ang tao. Soooobrang gutom talaga ako. Yung inorder kong Tapa Prince, I swear, nasimot ko to the max talaga. Haha. Walang tinira sa plato. Haha. Patay-guts ako!!! Sorry naman...


Then, we went home na. Di ko na talaga kaya. Gusto ko na rin maka-inom nang gamot agad. Ayaw kong magcelebrate nang valentine's day sa kama at may sakit. Sayang ang date na naka-schedule. Pero while on my way home, Mr. Juztine texted me to meet up. Hmm, I guess he doesn't know my blog pa. Haha. Baka magkita kami this weekend. We'll see...
