Flambouyant Society

Presenting... The ever-flambouyant g0-girls of 2009, in all with their sparkling moments in front of the camera. Take a wild look on their natural beauty as they mesmerize you with their hottest pose. Hehe. I swear, they have all my respect, pero hindi ko talaga kinaya sila!!!!

People really have different choices, different preferences, and different ways. No one can really question someone's decision over his life. The world may have established public perceptions about different colors of homosexuality, but the truth is, people will really base their judgement from what their eyes will see.

External presentation for TL is important. What you wear speaks for you. What you do speaks for you. How you act and what you say speaks for you. You cannot just live on the concept of "accept me for who I am". You have to mix it. You and the World. Your standard, and the world's standards. Or else, your existence in this world will just be like a living hell.

Our society have already classified gay people. If you dress like a palengke gay (like in the pictures above), surely you will belong in the lower class of the eye of the society. Sad but true. But if you dress properly (I said properly, not elegantly, see the difference?), chances are, society will give enough respect for you.

If all you do is to flirt around with guys in public, chances are, people will tag you in a lower level of the society (the pok-pok). But if you act nicely and decently, you will gain respect. If you speak like having a boombox in your throat, all this screeching voice with all the flambouyant gay lingo, chances are, gay-parlor perception will all just fall in to you. But if you speak with grace, expect respect from the society.

You see, pink people are like aliens in our country that were allowed to inhabitate but still considered different by some people. So it means, we have to somehow deal with the norms of conformities of the standard society for us not to be accepted, but to be respected. We should really put an end to people seeing us differently. But because of freedom of different choices, I don't think this can be possible.

So now it all boils down to you, as an individual, your choice, of what you want the people around you to treat you. I've been out for a long time but never I have felt so judged badly by people because I learn that gaining respect first is the best way towards accepting you for whoever you are and for whatever choices you will make in your life....
